I am just going to come right out and say it.
Ristorante Pizzeria Ariston in Cortina d’Ampezzo is the best food you will ever eat.
Often when you tell people something like this they think, “Ya, whatever”. Then they eat the food with high expectations and the results come in sub standard. Not in this case. I have made this announcement many, many times to members of many nations and the consensus is, even from Italians. “This is the best food I have ever eaten”.
A trip to Ariston is worth a plane ticket all on its own. I dare anyone to say I am wrong. The price of admission is completely average for the area. Dinner for two with wine? Expect to escape with only €50 less in your wallet.
The Pizza Fantastica is the single greatest flavor on Planet Earth. Everything else there is only just phenomenal.
