Sellaronda Ski Marathon
The Sellaronda Ski Marathon is one of the premier Ski Rando Races of Europe. Each year the starting village rotates to one of the villages (Corvara, Arabba, Canazei and Selva) on the Sella Loop, the famous loop road that goes around the Sella Group, a massive freestanding Dolomite massif.
The race is held at night, with participants starting at dusk and using both the ski runs and forest roads as the course. The route goes either up or down, not flat.
It is a testpiece of endurance and technical skills. Teams of two compete and must stay together.
