Lavaredo Ultra Trail
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are the icon of the Dolomites. Throughout the Sud Tirol and Tirol, logos for all kinds of products are the familiar and distinct towers.
In the town of Auronzo, beginning at midnight, trail runners will depart for a 90km – 5000 meter gain loop around the Tre Cime.
The Lavaredo Ultra Trail Race is one of the premier mountain running races of the Dolomites.

The more I race, the more I find it the most breathtaking Ultra Trail race in the world. The varied-angle scenery of the 3 Peaks more than once forces you to stop and makes you wonder how it’s still possible to have so many different perspectives of the same mountain chain. The 1st time I ran it I wrote that my overview impression was like being on en elicopter. The second time, last year (ranked 4th woman) it was more like being an eagle, maybe because I was faster, but I still had this unique impression of wandering in circles up and down, as if observing in bewilderment a diamond in all its faucets. In fact, it was 3…diamonds. Don’t miss next edition , June 26, 2010: start at Midnight, under a full moon, 90km, new longer route, more faucets, all new range of night lights to add to the day pinky reds that are typical of the Dolomites.
Registrations open traditionally on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 and they fill up fast!
